Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, a username, and optionally your country. You may sign in with Apple or Google, in which case we receive only the profile information those services share with us (typically email and a unique identifier).

Gameplay data. We store your trivia progress, experience points (XP), tier rank, heart (lives) count, verse memorization progress, and game history so your progress is preserved across devices.

Purchase information. If you subscribe to Bible Trivia Premium, purchase details are processed by RevenueCat and the relevant app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). We receive only a confirmation of your entitlement status — we do not store payment card details.

Device & usage data. We collect standard technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, crash reports, and usage analytics to help us improve the App.

Advertising identifier. With your permission (via the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS), we may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA/GAID) to serve personalized ads. You can withdraw consent at any time in your device settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
• Sync your progress and account across devices via our backend (Supabase).
• Process and verify in-app purchases through RevenueCat and the app stores.
• Display leaderboards and competitive rankings.
• Send push notifications about streaks, new content, or app updates (you can opt out in device settings).
• Show advertisements to free-tier users via Google AdMob. Premium subscribers do not see ads.
• Analyze usage patterns to fix bugs and inform future development.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the third-party service providers necessary to operate the App:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure.
• RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management.
• Google AdMob / Firebase — advertising (free tier) and analytics.
• Apple & Google app stores — for authentication and purchase processing.

Each provider is contractually required to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users.

4. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at hello@freshwind.dev and we will promptly delete that information.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time directly from the App (Settings → Delete Account) or by emailing us at hello@freshwind.dev. Upon deletion, your personal information will be removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@freshwind.dev.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
